Fiddlehead became an official heritage breeder in 2016 with our first purebred Dales and purebred Fell foals out of Ebony Jan and Stonecreek Black Crystal.  After several years of training and raising young stock, Fiddlehead invested in 3 imported mares, a domestic mare, and an imported stallion in 2016.  Through bloodline research for both Dales and Fell ponies in North America, conformation research and personal analysis, Fiddlehead began forming breeding program strategies in 2018.  These strategies help direct our decisions for acquisitions, pairing, and breeding careers for individual ponies.
